Yadukrishnan Prem

Postdoctoral Fellow, IISc Bangalore

Dr Yadhu is a postdoctoral fellow at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore. He completed his PhD from IISER Bhopal, where he studied from 2014 to 2020. His research focuses on plant developmental biology, plant photobiology, and molecular plant-environment interactions. Yadhu’s exceptional work has been recognized through several prestigious awards and fellowships, including the DST-INSPIRE Faculty Fellowship (2024), SERB-National Postdoctoral Fellowship (2023), and the C. V. Raman Postdoctoral Fellowship (2020). Additionally, he was honored as a Plantae Fellow by the American Society of Plant Biologists in 2022, and received both the NASI-Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Award and the Young Scientist Award from the Indian Society of Plant Physiology in 2021. His academic accolades also include qualifying the ICAR-ASRB NET in 2015, DBT-JRF in 2014, GATE Biotechnology in 2014, and CSIR-UGC NET & JRF in Life Sciences in 2013.
